Mad Radish Farm

Brittany and Michael Reardon started Mad Radish CSA on rented land in southwestern New Hampshire during the winter of 2015. MRCSA's inaugural growing season was 2016, where they grew vegetables as well as raised cattle, pigs, sheep, goats and chickens. Mad Radish supplied a CSA program, three farmers markets and a few local restaurants for the 2016 & 2017 seasons. At the end of 2017, they knew that they would not be in New England long-term as they wanted to be close to family, so they made the difficult decision to move back home. Michael grew up in Harrisburg, PA, while Brittany was raised in Bel Air, MD. They spent 2018 and 2019 in Colora, MD, farming (Brittany) and working for a stream restoration company (Michael) while they looked for their own piece of farmland to purchase. The search was on for a permanent home for Mad Radish!

In February 2020, after looking for farmland for about 2 years, Brittany and Michael found their dream property at 1991 George St in Dover and put in an offer. Though it took a couple months, the offer was finally accepted, and they began the buying process! Over the moon excited, they could not wait to restart Mad Radish Farm in Dover PA. 2021 was the first season at the new farm, where Brittany and Michael ran a CSA program, attended two farmers markets and supplied a few wholesale buyers! 2022 brought more CSA members, more pasture-raised chicken, and more field space in vegetables.

Looking to 2023, Mad Radish Farm is on a mission to reconnect more local folks to their food source, and to grow more nutritious food for you and your family. They have a passion for local agriculture and growing food for their community. With the belief that healthy food starts with healthy soil, the land at Mad Radish is managed 100% organically. Crop rotation, compost application and cover cropping are some basic methods that MRF strives to incorporate into the field production each season. Snap Eligible Vendor
